Welcome to alternative health :))) there are many functional doctors, and others who perform this kind of stuff.
For example Organic Acids in Urine Test gives you some 70-80 metabolic markers, which some folks interpret. There's no large scale RCTs or studies on this, so it's a bit dubious. But I did one and the practitioner correctly read the leaves to suggest some things that were missing and which helped me (glutathione and B1).
Perhaps "potentially billions" is justifiable? In that it's a "change the scenario entirely" level of change.
Certainly if you compare it to another likely scenario where Vercel buys them and fast forward 2 years, it's plausible that a huge number of projects went one way or the other because of what the AIs defaulted to.
With AI coming into picture, devs are more scared the way its getting handled by the industry rather actually getting scared by AI taking up jobs. Probably we have an year or two, need to find another job!
So Space X, OpenAI, Anthropic? Those are perfect examples.
It's unlikely their valuations could survive the IPO if their float wasn't extremely low.
> top 20 largest companies in the US market
You do know that S&P weights are based on the free float and not the market cap. So based on that SpaceX etc. will not be in the top 20. The total value of shares of Johnson & Johnson available on the public market will be much higher than that of SpaceX/etc. based on their current valuations.
It's always good to see improvements around WSL2, but especially this one is not so relevant IMHO, since it only affects WLS2 file access to Windows file system. If you store your dev environment in WSL2 anyway, this won't help you.
Ian's works wonders for running shoes, but alas tying it requires a lot of free string, and sometimes whati is left after looping for heel lock is not enough.
Ah. A common (and understandable) misconception. LSD-OS doesn’t enhance anything in the UX, it just removes the filters that prevent you from seeing reality, man.
Some confuse this with LDS-OS, which makes the user weirdly and unquestionably `nice` by only accepting inputs from protected mode.
1400 years of parts of humanity stuck in what is basically a religously decorated bootloop. What a disaster and we are supossed to celebrate these recovery>generational overproduction>war>recovery loops as cultural enrichment , which is kind of worse because its defacto refusing help, while the global trade handouts these regions subsisted on break away. Egypt almost went bankrupt again and nobody cares. 3 times the population of california but economically and scientifically as dead as can be. May the help they refused others in need and stuck in self destruct be upon those fools.
It's automatic. If you post and the title gets mangled you can go back and edit the title and it won't get re-mangled, but you kinda have to be paying attention and be aware of that.
I've gotten a lot of mileage out of a softmodded DSi that reads game ROMs off an SD card. I haven't loaded it up with every single game ever, just some that I like, and it's been great to play on when I'm in bed. I've almost 100%'d picross 3D (unless it has secret extra content for after you finish)
It wasn't. It's dumb. But that's different from shady. At the end of the day, the market never priced in the S&P making this decision because the default understanding was a public consultation by S&P goes nowhere. Influencers ran with a consultation being a fait accompli and now anyone saying otherwise is licking billionaire balls.
Ideally the workers. But failing that, legislation would probably be a good thing to at least try to reduce e-waste from closed, discarded devices. Like, if a device line is at its end of line from the company, then they might as well make it open for the community. They're not supporting it anymore, after all, but someone might want to.
Would such legislation be perfect for dealing with these kinds of things? Of course not, but it would be better.
Truly feels like witnessing the worst of capitalism and greed play out. All that compute and energy towards a narrative of reducing the need for skilled programmers. What a waste.
These people don't have our interests in mind and everyone eats it up like a blessing from a god or something. It's surreal.
The S&P 500 brochure describes itself as "the best single gauge of large-cap U.S. equities". That language implies they act as a benchmark, which I find questionable, given that based on their current eligibility requirements, it would exclude all three of SpaceX, Anthropic, and OpenAI.
All three companies are in the top 10 largest companies in the US by market cap, based on their current valuations. If these companies maintain their valuations over the next year, they'd still be ineligible under current rules. Because none of them are GAAP, they're all heavily reinvesting cash-flow into growth. These companies may be excluded from the S&P500 for potentially years, until they reach 12 months of profitability.
A benchmark of the U.S. stock market that excludes multiple of the 10 largest U.S. companies cannot be taken seriously.
Is this good or bad?
