You're still going to end up paying a dollar a gallon for it because eventually it's going to get rounded off. No gas store operator is going to try to cut a penny for you and give you a fraction of a penny. They could argue that the fraction of a penny becomes infinitely small and that giving you a shaving off the side of a copper penny would be infinitely too large.
