While Europe is more internationally aware, I think the U.S. is more timezone aware. Most people in the UK think of times as being "GMT" (even in summer when it's GMT+1). In Europe almost everywhere is CET (UK+1, so GMT+1 in winter, GMT+2 in summer). Timezones only really kick in intercontinentally
